Electronic witnessing

Every straw, every dish, every transfer — checked by something that cannot get tired.

Matcher is a barcode-based electronic witnessing, labelling, scheduling and traceability system built for IVF clinics and donor banks. It exists to make misidentification of a patient, a gamete or an embryo something the lab does not have to rely on concentration to prevent.

Where it fits

It is not one box in one room.

Matcher is a set of devices and a database that follow the sample, which is why it turns up in rooms that are not the lab.

ID securityPatient and staff identity carried on a card, checked at the point of work rather than at the desk.
Biometric ID checksA fingerprint reader where identity has to be certain and a card is not enough.
Witnessing with a Pocket MatcherA handheld unit for anywhere a fixed reader will not go — the dewar, the theatre, the transfer room.
Witnessing with a benchtop MatcherA mini unit that sits at the scope and reads without anyone putting a pipette down.
Witnessing for PGTBiopsy through to tube, tracked as one chain rather than two systems that have to be reconciled afterwards.
Labelling to embryo levelIndividual embryos identified, not just the dish they are sitting in.
Integrated labellingCryo and non-cryo labels printed from the same record the witness reads back.
Cryo managementWhat is in the tank, where it is, and who put it there — held as data instead of a logbook.
Lot trackingMedia and consumable lots recorded against the cycle they were used on.
Real-time workflow overviewThe day’s work across andrology, embryology and cryo on one screen.
Reporting and auditEvery scan, every operator, every timestamp — available as a report rather than as a request to IT.
